Fevicol SH is a standard synthetic resin adhesive for wood joints in dry conditions. Fevicol SR is a neoprene-based contact adhesive ideal for laminates, rubber, and leather on wood. Fevicol MR is moisture-resistant and used for applications exposed to humidity. Choose based on your application environment.
Fevicol SR 998 (contact adhesive) is the industry standard for bonding laminates, sunmica, and veneers onto plywood or MDF. Apply on both surfaces, allow to dry until touch-dry, then press firmly together. For large sheets, use a roller for even application and a rubber mallet for pressing.
For Fevicol SH used in furniture joinery, approximately 1kg covers 25–35 sq ft depending on joint type and wood porosity. For SR contact adhesive on laminates, 1kg typically covers 15–20 sq ft when applied to both surfaces. Always check the product label for brand-specific coverage guidelines.
Most Fevicol products have a shelf life of 12–18 months when stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Always keep containers tightly sealed to prevent skinning or drying. Do not freeze. Check the manufacturing date printed on the container before purchase.
